Marin Organic a new cooperation with ExtraFood.org

We are proud to announce a new cooperation with

Marin Organic is proud to partner withExtraFood.org to help provide hunger relief to Marin's most vulnerable populations.

Marin Organic's weekly gleanings have contributed thousands of pounds of farm fresh organic produce to the hungry of Marin County for many years, and we are excited to see our efforts and impact go to the next level through a new cooperation with ExtraFood.org.

ExtraFood.org picks up extra fresh food from any Marin organization -- such as grocery stores, restaurants, corporate cafeterias, and caterers -- and delivers it immediately to dozens of nonprofits that serve Marin's most vulnerable populations.

"It's wonderful to have healthy food that's prepared by someone else, and it's helped me a lot. And it helps my son out, too, so he's not worrying about me," says Kristine Bennett, a resident of Warner Creek Senior Housing. Watch the video above to learn more about ExtraFood's free service.
