PDA Blue Shirt Sunday, March 9

Give today to One Great Hour of Sharing

Dear Friend,
Right after tornadoes tore through the midwest this past November, the generosity of people who support One Great Hour of Sharing went to work.
Volunteers from the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) National Response Team were sent to help. They provided requested support to the leadership of the Presbytery of Great Rivers to help organize and lead volunteers from local congregations to provide support for families whose homes had flooded. Presbytery volunteers also provided a Thanksgiving dinner for the affected community.
This compassionate, faithful response was possible because people like you give to One Great Hour of Sharing. Please give today to support this important Offering so we can be there in times of disaster.
When you see someone in a blue PDA shirt this Sunday, you’ll know they’re a volunteer who has given their time to help someone in need after a crisis or disaster. Remember, as these volunteers carry out God’s work, an equally devout and compassionate person has supported One Great Hour of Sharing—and is behind them.
That person can be you.
When you support our faithful volunteer efforts, you help support programs like Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. You help ensure our sisters and brothers receive support following a disaster. And you help people rebuild their lives long after the media has moved on.

P.S. When you give this year, give in faith—knowing that staff and volunteers will be responding in Christ’s name to the voices of our sisters and brothers throughout the next year. Please give today. Every dollar makes a difference.
P.P.S. If you’re a volunteer yourself, wear your blue PDA shirt on Sunday with pride, consider making a gift to help even more people in need, and share your team’s photos with us! Send them via email, tweet them to us (be sure to include #PCUSA) or send them to us on Facebook!
